GETTING STARTED

How does Confrmd actually send the SMS?+
Confrmd connects to a carrier-grade SMS gateway to send messages on your behalf. When you add an appointment, we calculate exactly when the reminder should fire and queue it automatically. You don't need to do anything after adding the booking.
Do my clients need to download an app?+
Absolutely not. Your clients receive a standard SMS to their mobile number — no app, no account, no friction. They just reply Y to confirm or N to cancel. It's as simple as a normal text message.
How long does setup take?+
Most users are live within 2 minutes. You'll enter your business name, pick your industry, add your services, set your reminder timing, and customise your SMS template. That's it.
Does Confrmd integrate with my booking software?+
Not currently — and that's intentional. Confrmd works independently of any booking system. You simply enter client name, phone, service, date and time. No sync required, no APIs to configure. If you use an existing booking tool, you can run Confrmd alongside it.

BILLING & PLANS

What happens after my free trial?+
After 14 days, your account moves to the Pro plan at $10/month. We'll email you a reminder before the trial ends. We collect your card at signup to keep your slot, but you won't be charged until the trial ends. Cancel anytime from your billing settings before the 14 days are up and you won't be charged.
Can I cancel at any time?+
Yes, cancel anytime in one click from your Billing settings. No contracts, no cancellation fees, no awkward cancellation flows. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access until the end of the billing period.
How does the Y/N reply work?+
When a client receives their reminder, they simply reply Y to confirm or N to cancel. Confrmd processes the reply instantly and updates your dashboard automatically — no action needed from you. We also understand natural replies like "Yes", "Sure", "Nope" or "Cancel".
When exactly do reminders send?+
You control the timing in Settings. By default, a confirmation SMS goes out immediately after you add a booking, and a 24-hour reminder fires the day before the appointment. You can switch to a 2-hour same-day reminder instead. All messages respect your send window so clients never receive texts outside your set hours.
What happens if a client doesn't reply?+
If a client doesn't respond to the initial confirmation text, the next scheduled reminder fires automatically. For example if they don't reply to the confirmation, the 24-hour reminder still goes out as normal. You'll always see the current status on your dashboard.
How do I change my SMS reminder template?+
Go to Settings → SMS Templates. You can customise the reminder, confirmation, and rebooking message templates. Use the placeholder tags like {name}, {service}, {time}, {date}, and {business} to personalise each message automatically for every client and appointment.
What happens if a client replies STOP?+
Their number is immediately and permanently opted out across the entire platform. You'll never accidentally send them another message. This is handled automatically — you don't need to do anything. Clients can re-subscribe at any time by replying START.
When does the rebooking SMS send?+
The rebooking follow-up only sends after you mark an appointment as Complete on your dashboard. This means it never fires if a client cancelled or didn't show — only when the appointment actually happened. You set the timing (e.g. 3 weeks after the visit) in your appointment settings.
Can I add more than one business?+
Each Confrmd account currently supports one business profile. If you operate under multiple business names, you'd need a separate account for each. Multi-profile support is on our roadmap for a future update.
Is there a limit on SMS sends?+
No hard limits. The Pro plan ($10/month) includes unlimited reminders, confirmations, and rebooking texts. The 14-day free trial gives you the same full access. We do monitor for unusually high outbound volume (1,000+ messages a day from a single account) to make sure the platform isn't being abused for spam.

SMS & PRIVACY

Do I need consent from my clients before sending them SMS reminders?+
Yes. You must have prior express consent from clients before sending them SMS messages. This is typically captured when a client books an appointment with you — either verbally or via a booking form that includes an SMS opt-in checkbox. See our SMS Compliance page for full guidance.
What happens if a client replies STOP?+
Any client who replies STOP is immediately unsubscribed from all future messages from your Confrmd number. This is handled automatically and is required by law. You'll see the opt-out status in your dashboard.
Is my client data secure?+
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We never sell or share your client data with third parties. You can delete all data at any time from your account settings.

& PRIVACY
Last updated April 2026. Confrmd is committed to responsible SMS messaging and the protection of your clients' data. If you're a sole trader or freelancer, this page explains your obligations in plain English.

SMS COMPLIANCE (TCPA & CTIA)

Confrmd is a tool for sending appointment reminders to clients who have provided prior express consent to receive SMS messages from your business. As the business owner using Confrmd, you are the "sender" of record and are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable messaging laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) in the US and equivalent legislation in other jurisdictions.

What this means for you:

  • You must obtain explicit written or verbal consent from each client before sending them an SMS via Confrmd.
  • Consent is typically obtained at the point of booking — e.g. a checkbox on a booking form stating "I consent to receive SMS appointment reminders from [Your Business]."
  • You must honour opt-out requests immediately. Confrmd handles STOP replies automatically and blocks that number from future sends.
  • Messages should clearly identify your business name and the purpose of the message.
  • Reminders are considered "transactional" messages (directly related to an existing appointment) and are generally held to a lower consent threshold than marketing messages. Confrmd does not support marketing blasts.

OPT-OUT HANDLING

Confrmd automatically handles the following opt-out keywords: STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT. When a client replies with any of these words, they are immediately removed from all future SMS sends from your Confrmd number. This cannot be overridden.

Clients can re-subscribe at any time by replying START or YES. You will be notified of all opt-outs and re-subscriptions in your dashboard.

PRIVACY POLICY

We collect only the information necessary to provide the Confrmd service. This includes your account details (name, email, business info) and the appointment data you enter (client names, phone numbers, appointment times).

What we do with your data:

  • We use your account data to operate your Confrmd account and provide the reminder service.
  • We use client phone numbers solely to send reminders on your behalf. We never contact your clients for any other reason.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data or your clients' data with any third parties, except as required by law or to operate the service (e.g. our SMS gateway provider).
  • All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256.
  • You may export or delete all your data at any time by contacting privacy@confrmd.co.

DATA RETENTION

We retain appointment records for 12 months to support analytics and dispute resolution. After 12 months, records are permanently deleted. Account data is retained until you request deletion. SMS delivery logs are retained for 90 days.

TERMS OF SERVICE

By using Confrmd, you agree not to use the service to send unsolicited messages, spam, or messages to individuals who have not consented. Violations of this policy may result in immediate account suspension without refund. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of Confrmd complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
